

He attended Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia. He began college at Rice University, but transferred and graduated from Trinity University with a B.A. in Business. He went on to medical school at UTMB Galveston and practiced Obstetrics/Gynecology in San Antonio most of his career until contracting his services to various hospitals through locum tenens in Texas as well as other states.
He served in the Air Force military reserves, was honorably discharged in 1968, and enjoyed being a member in various organizations such as the Merry Knights of King William and Order of the Alamo. While being a doctor was a true passion and love, he also relished time away hunting and fishing, the latter with trips through the Bexar County Medical Society in Rockport, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lake and husband, Fritz; son, Andrew Parker; daughter, Elisa Parker; son, Christopher Parker; stepson, Greg Torres and wife, Ana and daughter, Natasha and three grandchildren, William, Katherine, and Parker; brother, Scott Parker, and sisters, Page Webb and Candes Chumney.
In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dr. Maxwell Parker to Christ Episcopal Church or to the charity of your choice.
