He is survived by children: Sharon and husband Steve Gooding; Debbie and husband Bill Cheatham; Tina Janowski; Max Grunwald, CPA, and life partner Brad Rathburn; Grandchildren: Kimberley and husband Douglas Shaver; Danna and husband Trent Barnes; Kelley and husband Rodney Rodriguez; Jessica Janowski; Jennifer and husband Jake Horner; Heather Slomchinski; Kyle, Kellyn and Reagan Grunwald; Lesley Janowski; Michelle and husband DJ Sowell; Sam Gooding; Cherice and Jacob Paniagua; Great-grandchildren: Parker and Hunter Perez; Jacob and Ethan Barnes; Katlyn Gist; Zachary Simon; Connor and Dillon Sowell; Samuel Horner; Jake, Tatianna, and Shelby Paniagua; Cody and Dakota Austin; Lindsey Gooding; Emily and Megan Shaver; Cecila Rodriguez; Adrian, Daniel and Lauren Janowski; Great great-grandchild: Kaelyn Rodriguez and numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, December 19, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services 11:00am Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Northeast Baptist Church, 2930 MacArthur View, San Antonio, Texas 78217. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to www.miamiproject.org in support of his son’s paralysis rehabilitation.
