Melanie Eve Gallegos

Melanie Eve Gallegos, 55, passed away on May 6th, 2026. Melanie was born in Denver, Colorado to Richard and Lillian Briones on July 31st, 1970. She married Israel Gallegos on September 26th, 1996 in Northglenn, Colorado.

She worked as a Team Coordinator for JBSA for seventeen years. She was involved in the Youth Services and Child Development side of the house before obtaining team coordinator. She made a huge impact on the families and children she helped throughout that time.

Melanie is preceded in death by her Father Richard Briones, Great Aunt Margret Chavez, Brother in Law Berton Gallegos, and Great Grandparents Johnathan and Eva Briones.

Melanie is survived by her husband Israel Gallegos, Her Son Nicholas Briones-Gallegos and his Fiance Sarah Moran their fur babies Billie, Aya, Chungus, Lucy, and Mazzie, Her Daughter Rori Gallegos and her partner Ashley Wednesday their fur baby Johnny, Her Sister Dena Sanchez, Her fur babies Chancho, Bob-Bee, Baby, Bubba, Poh, Koda, Punkin, Mookie, Menny and Mikey.

Celebration of life will held at 5pm Friday May 29th 2026 at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home.

The family of Melanie wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr Miller and the medical team Melanie had during her 17 year battle. The family would also like to extend our utmost gratitude to the friends and family that we have had help during this time.
