I was a member of GEEMS with Melinda at UTSA. We were also in the same student teaching group. She was extremely bright, kind hearted, beautiful, and just a wonderful person to be around. She cared so much for her students and peers. She will absolutely be missed. I do want to thank the Villegas family for raising such an amazing person. She was a light to all of us.

I feel so blessed to have made all of these memories with you! You have touched so many of our lives with your inspiring encouragement, ideas, and beautiful attitude towards life and obstacles. Thank you for getting me through the beginning of my first year. I was so excited when we got hired on together. You are so missed by so many of and I pray you are enjoying your party with Jesus now. I love you! I pray god holds your family and derrick in his arms through this difficult time. May they find comfort in knowing that you are indeed in a better place.

I've found myself unable to stop think of you. I find myself regretting that I hadn't kept in touch and let you know just how great of an impact you had in my life. I find myself hoping that you knew just how important you were in the lives of all those you knew. I still find it hard to beleive that you are gone, but know that you will live on in the memories and in the hearts of all those who knew you. Your presence on this earth will be graetly missed, but your kindness will live on in those who were lucky enough to have had your kindness bestowed upon them.

Derrick introduced his lovely girlfriend to his co-workers during our organization day and talked to us about their plans. I cannot believe you're gone, baby girl. I look at your pictures, and see so much life, that it's hard to even grasp a world void of your smile. Maybe I don't have to. Though I am not ready to fully accept that your body is at rest, I do wish you the sweetest sleep. With clarinets and show tunes and the deepest love your soul could ever embrace. I taught at Jay with Melinda last year, and we were both new to Northside. She was a nice person and a dedicated teacher. She will be missed. God bless all those whose life she touched.
