She is preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents Gregorio and Elena Ayala; paternal great- grandparents Pedro and Eleanora Ayala, Angela Capelo; grandparents: Pedro V. Capelo, Delia A Ayala, Miguel M Trevino; step grandfather: Joe Gutierrez; aunt Cynthia Ann Trevino.

She is survived by her children: Deshea Silva, Eduardo Reyes Jr.; grandson: Roland Saucedo; parents: Abelardo Capelo and Mary Linda Ayala; brother: Abe Jr; nieces and nephews: Abe III, Alison, Ashley and other family members and friends.

Melissa was beautiful free spirit who lived life to the fullest. She loved ladybugs hence her nickname. She has an infectious smile that made a lasting impression on everyone. She joked about her being a gypsy and a river rat. She loved to ride bikes and loved to drink her wine. She was loving mother, daughter and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
