Melody Elizabeth Logsdon passed away on December 18, 2025, in Humble, Texas, at the age of 28. Born on January 13, 1997, Melody grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where her journey of compassion and service began.
Melody was a standout student and a 2015 graduate of The Atonement Academy where she made many lifelong friends. While at Atonement she loved to play volleyball. She also earned the prestigious Yale University Achievement award.
Melody went on to graduate in 2019 from Baylor University as an Honors College student with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
A dedicated and accomplished Registered Nurse, Melody made a profound impact in her field during her all-too-brief career. Her commitment to excellence and care earned her numerous accolades and the admiration of colleagues and patients alike.
Passionate about making the world a better place, Melody’s dedication extended beyond her professional life. She was a strong advocate for social justice. Her warmth, intelligence, and unwavering kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She will be forever loved and deeply missed.
Melody is lovingly remembered by her parents, Jeremiah and Valerie Logsdon; her siblings Allyssa, Bailey, Marseline (Hannah), and Noah Logsdon; her grandparents Robert and Marcia Logsdon, Jenny Voss and Lisa Kim; and her niece Enya Santana. She is also mourned by a close-knit circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many others whose lives she touched. She is preceded in death by her grandfather David Kim.
A visitation will take place from 5:00-6:00 p.m., on Monday, January 12, at Porter Loring Mortuary West. Eulogies will be shared beginning at 6:00 p.m., and a rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, January 13, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes, TX. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m., at Resurrection Cemetery at Cordi-Marian.
A reception will take place at 1:15 p.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes, TX, following the graveside service.
