Melvia Gayle McClinton, age 58, went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2011. She was born on September 14, 1952 in Taylor, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin E. Robinson. She is survived by her husband, Thomas E. McClinton; daughters, Shauner McDonald and husband James, Talia McClinton, Alana McClinton; granddaughter, Jasmine McDonald; mother, Edwina Robinson; mother-in-law, Ruth Edwards; sisters, Jacquelyn Badger, Ottie Cynthia Mitchell; brothers, John McKenzie, Ronde Robinson, Melvin Robinson, Don Robinson, Chetman Robinson; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Monday, March 7, 2011 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Westridge Park First Baptist Church, 522 SW 42nd Street, with Rev. Ray Weathers officiating. Interment at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
