Merritt L. Duffy

Merritt (Mick) L. Duffy of Bullard, TX passed away in San Antonio, TX on June 24, 2013. He was born on January 28, 1923 in Peoria, IL. He lived and worked as a service representative for Caterpillar Tractor Company in Peoria until 1955, when he was transferred to San Antonio. In 2001 he moved to Emerald Bay Golf Community in Bullard, TX where he enjoyed playing golf. His greatest joys were family and helping others. Mick was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Ellen Duffy. He is survived by his son, William D. Duffy, wife Linda of Bullard, TX; daughter, Patty Arnold, husband Jim of Spring Branch, TX; grandchildren, William Daniel Duffy, II, wife Shannon; Chris Arnold, wife Cindy; John Darin Duffy and Kari Arnold; great grandchildren, Jackson, Hunter, and Chance Duffy; Rachel, Reece, and Addie Arnold. The family wishes to thank the following for their help and support: St. Mary Magdalene ACTS Community, St. Mary Magdalene Knights of Columbus, the Emerald Bay Golden Tees, and Odyssey Hospice. Mick's favorite Irish saying was, "You cry at a birth, and you rejoice at a death." Family and friends are rejoicing!
