WOW, I am heartbroken to hear of a good man taken so young.  MICHAEL was a bundle of joy for all us EDGEWOOD RED RAIDER ATHLETES.  For 4 years "COCO" drove us to all our events, scrimmages, games, and was a blessing to be around.  I was a star athlete at EDGEWOOD, and remember a lot of conversation with COCO throughout the years playing there.  Many of my tough losses were always comforted with kind words of encouragement to persevere, and keep on trucking as he would say.  My heartfelt condolences to your family COCO, wish I had the time to catch up with you after high school, you were a great role model for a lot of us, and I can truly say, you saw me play more games than any blood family I had.  thanks for being in my corner, and always pumping me up before and after games! I am sadden to find out about the loss of Mr. Berkley he was a dear friend and will always have a special place in my heart.  I will hold you close until we meet again.

My condolences to the entire Berkley family. I was privileged to know Mike while we were in school together at Lakeview Baptist and Holy Cross High School, and when we both worked for Edgewood ISD. Mike was a happy, outgoing, fun-loving guy who is now making them laugh and smile in Heaven. May God's Grace and His Divine Mercy surround and comfort each of you in your time of loss.

I can still remember hearing the laughter of Michael in the halls of Holy Cross, very cheerful guy who spread his joy to others.
