

He was a member of the Palmer Drug Abuse Center and AA Club 12, as well as, devoting his energy in being a mentor and sponsor to others in the programs.
He was a graduate of Churchill High School.
Michael had a passion for a wide variety of music and enjoyed playing his guitar and saxophone.
He had a great sense of humor and was full of spirit in nature. He attended Bandera Road City Church and was baptized on September 8, 2013.
Michael is preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Barnard and uncle, Walter Hamlyn.
He is survived by his parents, Jeff and Vickie Hamlyn; brothers: Geoffrey Hamlyn; Walter Hamlyn and wife, Erin; grandparents: Hugh and Jane Hamlyn; grandmother, Jerroldene Barnard; aunts and uncles: Margie Mocygemba and husband, Mike; Brenda Barnard; Mike Barnard and wife, Audrey; David Barnard and wife, Jackie; cousins: Joshua, Noah, Jeremy, Lisa and Danny; numerous other cousins, great aunts and uncles.
Michael was blessed by many friends and valued each relationship, he was an incredibly selfless individual who loved his family and friends ~ he will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 9th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Porter Loring on McCullough.
On Tuesday, February 10th at 1:00 PM, a service will be held a House of Prayer Lutheran Church, 10226 Ironside Drive with interment to follow at Mission Burial Park North, 20900 IH 10 West.
