Mike was a great friend of mine and just a super person. I first met him while in high school as we had a common friend in Charlie Moore. When Mike and Charlie came to SWTSU now TSU back in about 1979, Mike and I became really good friends. Mike was always such a super nice guy and very, very funny. He was just fun to be around! He always brightened my day, no matter what mood I was in before. Plus, Mike was an excellent artist/cartoonist. Mike was just an outstanding human being and I will miss him very, very, very much! I only found out about his passing in January and am sorry I was not able to pay my final respects to him at the funeral. In any case, I know he is in a better place now and I will always love him and think of him often. I'm also friends with Pete and Cher and had met Joey a few times Mike lives on through Joey, that was obvious to me the first time I met Joey, and if they ever need my help or just want to talk, I'm always available. I was shocked and saddend when i turned the page in the paper and saw Michaels obituary today 11-19-2004. Doreen and i send our heartfelt sympathy to all. May he be resting peacefully in the arms of God. We pray for his soul, and his survivers peace and comfort. Doreen & Joe.

Mike, it is a long journey that you are about to face, you are on your way home. My mother also passed away because of cancer. at her eulogy, a cousin of mine said something very nice that gave me solace. I hope that your family will keep in their hearts what helped me through this trying time: 
As we go through life, we have all taken time at one point or another to pick some beautiful flowers to adorn our dinner table. The Lord has planted us here, as beautiful flowers on this earth, and there will come a time when he choses to pick us. Mike is the beautiful flower that the Lord has chosen at this time to adorn His table. We will be with him again someday. Mike, My prayers go to your wonderful son who you loved so much and have always spoken about with stars in your eyes. You have always been so proud of him. I will remember Mike as one of the funniest, most artistic and helpful people I know. He was a true friend from high school into college at Texas Tech University, providing wheels and entertainment along that 9 hour drive. Sometimes shorter if we wanted it so!! What can I say...Mike was a happy, fun and truly a great guy to be around. We had some memorable times at RCC. I truly enoyed working with him. I will always treasure his friendship. Most of all the smile you always received from him. We will miss him dearly around the office.

Mike was a very special person. THAT was apparent at our first meeting almost 9 years ago. He always had a smile that was forever contagious. He never failed to say hello and ask how I was doing even through his tough times. I will never forget him or his gentle manner. What a GREAT co-worker Mike was, I worker with him for 8 years at Norwood, he always had a smile and always,always only had nice positive things to say about others. He will be truely missed.

I worked with Mike at Radio Cap for 5 years...he was very kind and sweet...we spoke a few times....he was very proud of his son Joey...I will remember Mike...he always had a smile : and and very caring for others...May he be in peace...Mike you will be missed....I pray for your son and your family.... When someone dies, a cloud turns into an angel and flies up to tell God to put another flower on a pillow. A bird gives the message back to the world and sings a silent prayer that makes the rain cry. People disappear, but they never really go away. The spirits up there put the sun to bed, wake up the grass, and spin the Earth in dizzy circles. Sometimes you can see them dancing in a cloud during the daytime when they?re supposed to be sleeping. They paint the rainbows and also the sunsets and make waves splash and tug at the tide. They toss shooting stars and listen to wishes. And when they sing wind-songs, they whisper to us, ?Don?t miss me too much. The view is nice, and I?m doing just fine.? My thoughts are with his family in this time of sorrow.
