Michael J. Kilbane

Michael J. Kilbane, born April 22, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio died December 24, 2004 in San Antonio. Beloved husband for 36 years of Patsy Lee; father of Timothy M. Kilbane and wife, Debbie of Cincinnati, Ohio, Karen K. Starks and husband, Larry of Dallas, Texas and Martin E. Kilbane and wife Joey of Austin, Texas;

grandfather of Christina and Patrick Kilbane and Shelby and Garrett Starks; son of the late Michael the Geary and Margaret Cooney Kilbane; brother of Bernard Kilbane and wife, Anna and Margaret Lavelle and husband, David; uncle of 40 nieces and nephews. Mike was a graduate of Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio and the University of Dayton.

He strongly believed in service work for others. He was very active in the A.C.T.S. Community of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, and served on Cursillo and Emmaus teams. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #786, served Meals on Wheels and worked with Habitat for Humanity.

Mike worked for Diamond Shamrock for 37 years. He was past president of the International Communications Association 1991-1992 and board member for 8 years. He also served on the board of the American Cancer Society in San Antonio
