

Michael Creamer Payer passed away on July 1, 2016 after a rich, full life. He was born on November 11, 1934 in New York City and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and Los Angeles, California. After graduating from University High School in Los Angeles, he attended the University of California at Los Angeles, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, and the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Following his studies, he served as a Captain in the United States Army.
Mike was a voracious reader, loved to travel and above all, spend time with his family. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and of the Sacred Heart Family Guild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Lee Payer, his mother, Lida Creamer Payer, and his older brother, Harry Payer. He is survived by his wife of almost 57 years, Janice Heye Payer; sister Dennis Scholz; children, Michael Payer, Jr. and wife Diana Payer, Daniel Payer, Catherine Vaughan and husband Ben Vaughan, and Andrew Payer; grandchildren, Sarah Ellen Payer, Rachel, Patrick and Daniel Vaughan, and Anna Payer.
