I worked with Michael for years at ATC in San Antonio and Reese AFB...one one or our last test flights in the T-1 after flying at night and in and out of the weather we both looked at each other and said "Were getting too old for this stuff"...that was my last flight. Mike and I worked together on assignments at Edwards AFB, CA; Randolph AFB, TX; and again at Reese AFB, TX. He was my supervisor at Edwards and was a joy to work for. He was also a great friend to our entire family, and our daughters thought he was always a lot of fun. Whether we were working in the same office or not, he was a great source of encouragement and help. Donna, David, Meghan, and all of Mike's loved ones, you are in our thoughts and prayers and have our deepest sympathy.

Some of my fondest memories of the USAF were working with Mike on the T-1 Test Team 1990-1993. I was the AF Operational Test and Evaluation OT&E Manager at Kirtland AFB, NM and Mike was the Air Training Command ATC manager out of Randolph AFB, TX. Mike was extraordinarily effective at accomplishing miracles, such as getting 25 ATC officers and enlisted dedicated to OT&E for over a year at Reese AFB, TX. He made us feel like he had nothing else to do at midnight Friday night than get more space for the test team. His tireless efforts resulted in the first OT&E in the Air Force coming in under budget. My lasting memories, though, were his stories told over many evenings in Wichita and Lubbock. While his tales of events in the T-46 test program were spell binding, he really lit up when sharing about his family. I am so sorry I never met you Donna, but through Mike's love, I feel I have. I share in your grief and express my profound sorrow.

I worked with Mike on the T-1 program at Reese AFB TX. After we both retired, I occasionally ran into him in simulator facilities at Randolph AFB and elsewhere, it was always great to chat with him and catch up. He was a super guy who loved his family and his job. My sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to his loved ones.

Our family wishes to convey our deepest condolences for the passing of a great man and friend. Mike was a most generous, intelligent, and fun individual to know and be around. He always carried a tremendous smile and expressed his endearing love for his family as displayed by the many pictures he reserved in a large area of his office, here at the Randolph AFB Simulator Complex. The photographs and memorabilia took more space than his actual workspace. I always enjoyed his discussions of his children's successes. May the good Lord bless Donna and the children to carry on his happiness and zeal for life, and may the successes continue and be many. Donna, please call on Robin and I any time! I flew and worked with Mike in T-37s. 
Mike was always pleasant and good natured at work, even when the rest of us were not. He was a good man. I am sorry for your loss.

Mike was a great guy and a wonderful and supportive coach to our daughter Meridan when she was on the Ladybug soccer team many years ago. He touched our lives as I'm sure he touched countless others. Rest in peace Mike.
