Michael was raised in Sarita, Texas during his formative years. Growing up he loved to hunt on the ranch with his brothers and cousins, and was very close to his brother Gary. In high school and college, football became his focus; he did this whilst pursuing a degree in Biology. He was a charismatic and gregarious man that loved to spend hours over a mesquite fire pit cooking fajitas and laughing with his children on the ranch. He loved to repeat the tail about "that big Boone and Crockett that got away."
Michael lived for many years on the family ranch in Hebbronville, Texas. He experienced great joy teaching his children how to work cattle, ride horses and hunt. Later in life Michael moved to San Antonio, Texas where he lived until his passing. After his children finished college he participated in many activities with his grandchildren in San Antonio. He was a daily part of their lives and even had the patience to teach two of them to drive their first car.
Michael was a devoted Catholic and a great father and grandfather, having raised five children. He always said, "God, Family, and Country" when referring to his dearest commitments in life. He lived for his family and was always a champion for his kids and grandchildren. He often spoke of how proud he was of his children and grandchildren. He was a friend to all and a lover of life.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Robert A. Turcotte, his mother Barbara Glenn Turcotte, his brother Gary C. Turcotte, and his son Jacob Turcotte. Michael will be sorely missed by his surviving family: His brothers and sister-in-law John Glenn (San Antonio, TX), Jeff and Julie (Bartlesville, OK), and his children and daughter-in-laws Sarita (San Antonio, TX), Maria (San Antonio, TX), Michael Joshua and Paula (Dallas, TX), and Seth and Cecilia (Houston, TX).
