Michelene Maire Pierce

Michelene Marie Pierce passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of family. A longtime resident of Richmond, Virginia, she spent her final days in San Antonio, Texas, in the home of her daughter.

Michelene was a devoted mother to her daughters, Caitlin and Roberta, and a proud and loving grandmother to Eric, Sophia, Emily, Patrick, Thomas, Max, and Lance. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Peter, who passed away twenty years ago. She never remarried, carrying his memory with love throughout the years.

Michelene dedicated her professional life to caring for others. She worked at Stewart Circle Hospital in Richmond until its closure and then continued her career with Bon Secours for more than twenty-five years. Her compassion and commitment to service extended far beyond her work. She was deeply involved in her community, always volunteering, feeding those in need, and giving generously to anyone who needed a helping hand.

She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, sense of humor, and love of life. Michelene enjoyed socializing, playing practical jokes, dressing up for any occasion, watercolor painting, gardening, and especially traveling. She found joy in connecting with others and brought warmth and laughter wherever she went.

She is also survived by her brother, Gene, and was preceded in death by her sister Nancy and brother Patrick.

Michelene’s legacy is one of kindness, generosity, laughter, and love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
