Mignyohn Prather, age 100, went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2013. She was born on September 26, 1912 in Birmingham, Alabama to Herman & Vera Reviere. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed. She was sometimes known as “Rabbit Ears” for her exceptional hearing and the “Energizer Bunny” for her zeal for life.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elmer Prather.
She is survived by her 3 children: Charles Prather, John Prather and Patti Prather; grandson, Richard Prather; 2 great granddaughters, Ashleigh & Hannah Prather; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2013 with the Funeral Service to be at 12 noon at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Special Olympics in honor of Brittani & Tiffani Schalmeus or to the charity of one’s choice.
