Mike was a loving father, a soldier, a son, and a brother. His colleagues and family knew him for being a dedicated man, and a giver. Serving 22 years in the US Army, Mike was an accomplished soldier and retired as a CW3. Mike excelled at serving his country, and became a decorated veteran receiving a Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, an Army Commendation Medal, and serving two tours in Iraq. He had a strong love for aviation and aeronautics, and the love for it didn't end after his honorable discharge; he continued to pursue his dream of working for the Federal Aviation Administration and he accomplished that goal in 2014 and continued on until the day of his passing. He was a hard worker, and passionate about what he did.
He touched many people's lives and hearts, and he was able to make friends with any person he talked to. He enjoyed discussing his kids, and his passion for aviation. We can proudly say that he made an impression on anyone that he came into contact with using his charm, vibrant energy, and his unforgettable smile. He would go out of his way for anyone who needed him, and he always made sure that his family never went without, no matter what. His friends and family will forever miss him dearly. Forever missed but he will never be forgotten.
He is remembered with love by his three children; Celeste Selena Ramirez, Bailey Miguel Ramirez, Mackenzie Daniel Ramirez, and the mother of his children, Veronica Ramirez. He will also be sorely missed by his beloved best friend and loyal dog, Bullseye. He is preceded in death by his wife Grace Rivadeneyra- Ramirez and his father, George Ramirez.
One of his many famous lines that he would preach was, "Be like me, but don't be like me." Those who knew him, understood. Miguel was highly respected and adored by many, always.
Those who would like to pay their respect to Miguel Ramirez are welcome to join us for a Visitation on Tuesday, September 12th at 12:00 noon, with a Service to follow at 1:00 pm at Porter Loring Mortuary ,1101 McCullough Ave, 78212. Interment in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery
