Miguelina will always be remembered as a devoted wife by being a wonderful supporter and remarkable provider to her visually impaired husband, Walley. Miguelina was born on May 31, 1941, in Santurce, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of Eulogia and Lao Roman and sister of Carmen Socorro Ramirez of New Jersey, Iris Mercedez Cintron of New York, Gladys Ferra of New York, Carmen Elisa Johnson (Barry) of New Jersey, Miguel Angel Roman (Brenda) of New Jersey, Ramon Roman (Nilda) of New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her siblings Blanca Quinonez and Luis Roman.
Miguelina was a strong advocate and devoted church member who loved to read her bible, pray with and for others, spending time with family, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. She was an advocate for the humane society and helping the homeless. She was a published writer, a painter and music composer. She enjoyed working on her garden and she never missed sending a birthday wish to her immediate family. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. “To know her was to love her.”
Miguelina leaves to cherish her loving memory. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, Guadalupe “Walley” Guerra; her children Miguel David Davila Jr (Kim Marie) of Washington State, Richard Rodney Davila (Linda) of Washing State, Keren Carmen FitzGerald (Jeffrey Rabinovitch) of Pennsylvania, (daughter-in-law) Marixsa Landron (Cesar) of Texas, Joseph Guerra of Texas, Annette Guerra of Texas, Angel Guerra of Texas, Amanda Solis (Rene Olguin) of Texas, and Felicia Esquivel of Texas. She also leaves grandchildren, Aniyah Hatfield, Hannah Fitzgerald, Hailey Fitzgerald, Matthew Fitzgerald Jr., Jeffrey Rabinovitch Jr., Angelic Lenya Smith, Jessica Desiree Davila, Caitlin Davila, Bridget Davila, Ethan Sewalson, Christopher Sewalson, Alana Olguin, Cassie Olguin, Bryan Olguin, Jaiden Pollard, Michael Mosquieda, Joseph Hernandez, Elijah Hernandez and great-grandchildren, Benjamin Davila, Alice Davila, Trey Smith, Izaiah Cruz, Adrian Puentes and Michelle Davila and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A reception for Miguelina will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home Reception Hall, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A memorial visitation will occur at 9:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A memorial service will occur Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A committal service will occur Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach, San Antonio, TX 78209.
