Born in Houston Texas, Mike was an undergraduate of Texas Tech University and received an MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Mike was a commercial real estate broker with Grubb and Ellis Company and is a member of CCIM.
He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and past vestry member.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Blackwood; son, Thomas Blackwood; daughter, Meredith Blackwood, all of San Antonio; parents, George and Corky Blackwood, of Bellaire, TX; sisters-in-law, Kathy Miller McMahon and her husband, Clay, and Janice Miller, all of San Antonio; brothers-in-law, Rick Miller and his wife, Suzanne of St. Louis, MO, and Greg Miller and his wife, Rochelle, of Saginaw, MI; nephews and niece, Scott, Chris, Brian, Ashley, Caden, Jared, Brandon and Evan.
