Mike L. Gonzales, age 84, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 8, 1931 to Mariano and Delfina Gonzales. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service with the rank of SSGT. He later worked for the San Antonio Housing Authority, managing several locations. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Viola Gonzales; sons, Mike M. Gonzales and Steven M. Gonzales; grandchildren, Brandy Calles, Michelle Gonzales, Michael Gonzales, Emerson Gonzales, Jason Gonzales, Nathan Gonzales, Aiden Gonzales and Neiomi Flores; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Alice Deleon and Beatrice Hernandez. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera road on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery # 2 with U.S. Air Force military honors.
