Milagros “Mili” Mejias Arguello passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the age of 46. She was born January 10, 1967 in Bronx, New York. She is loved and will be missed by her husband of 16 years, Arthur; parents, Ramon Otto and Gloria Mejias; brother, George Mejias and sister-in-law, Denise Mejias; father-in-law and mother-in-law,Baldomero and Erlinda Arguello. She leaves behind her pride and joy fur babies, Jenny, Lola, and Buddy as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends. The avid dog lover, Mili graduated from Princeton University with B.A. in Sociology. She continued her education and received her M.A. in Education from Columbia University. Though not born in Texas, Mili made Sure she got here as fast as she could as the old saying goes taking her first professional job at Trinity University where she would meet her best friend, Arthur. Celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary on January 11, 2013 she posted, “16 years of marriage, twenty years of friendship. We’ve been through the ups and downs, and even the side ways. Through it all he has been there no matter what. Always constant. Always with open arms and an open heart.” Of spending time at the beach one of her favorite past times she said, “There is nothing better than being by the ocean. The sun on my face. The breeze in my hair. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on Monday January 13, 2014 at 10:00a.m. Services will conclude at the church.
