Born in McDonald, Pennsylvania Rd-3, she was the daughter of Robert Matthew Brown and Lois Evelyn McCarrell both of whom preceded her in death. Millie was the wife of Julian C. Alejos; they were married for 25 years. Milly was one of six children which included sisters, Molly, Arge and Birdie (deceased) and two brothers, Ed and Bob (deceased). She attended Fort Cherry High School, then received her Bachelor of Science (Medical Technology) from West Virginia University on May 12, 1968.
She was a member of the Texas Master Gardeners and the Texas Master Naturalists. She volunteered at the Julia Yates Branch Public Library and participated in the Landscaping, Gardening and Welcoming Committee for the Oak Heights subdivision. She was an avid reader, gardener and Bassett Hound enthusiast. She never met a dog or cat she did not immediately love. Milly also enjoyed DIY crafting, hosting holiday parties and traveling with her husband. She will be remembered for her beautiful landscaping projects, her personalized Christmas and birthday gift wrapping, strong work ethic, nurturing heart, no-nonsense outlook on life and as a die-hard Spurs’ fan. The Alejos family will forever be grateful for the loving care of our father, Julian G. Alejos whom she welcomed into her heart and home for many years, until his death.
She is survived by her husband, Julian; stepson, Julian V. Alejos and his wife, Jessica; step-granddaughters, Xochitl and Ellie; and the Alejos extended family.
