Mildred Parker Cory of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2008, at the age of 91. She was born in Pleasanton, Texas, on January 20, 1917 to Clarence and Margaret Parker and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1935.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Nelson Cory; her sister, Louise Sayers; and her brother, George Parker.
Mildred's greatest joy came from her husband, two children, four grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Everyone looked forward to weekends at the coast, ski trips to New Mexico and other travels throughout the United States. "Sissy," as she was known by her family and friends, will be remembered for her quick wit and joy of life.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Cory Nentwich, Joan Cory Goade and her husband Tom; her granddaughters, Cory Bakke and her husband Phil, Cynthia Bartz and her husband Jimmy, Courtney Storment and her husband Scott, Elizabeth Liles and her husband Tony; her great grandchildren, Brandt Bakke, West Bakke, Jas Bartz, Jade Bartz, Abbie Storment, Gracie Liles and Jack Liles.
