Mildred Proscelle Hernandez

Mildred Proscelle Hernandez, age 75, went home to the Lord on May 22, 2017. She was born in Laredo, Texas on March 25, 1942 to Michael and Lena Mae Proscelle. Mildred was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a devout Catholic, and enjoyed singing in the choir at St. Luke's. Mildred was always active and loved gardening and being outdoors. She believed in physical fitness, kindness, and was happiest when surrounded by family.

She is survived by her husband Jesse Hernandez; her dog Gabby; children, Shirley (Gene) Fischetti, Jeanette Furey, Debra (Robert) Henarie, Ralph Morado, Javier Morado ; 13 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Micheal Proscelle, Armandina Feilen, Mary Lou Huerta, Luis Proscelle, Marie Enriquez and a large extended family.

A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, with a 9:00 A.M. mass at the Little Flower Basilica Catholic Church, on Thursday, June 8, 2017, with internment at Fort Sam Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Mildred to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at www.pancan.org, or the Humane Society at www.sahumane.org.
