
Minnie Mae Evridge, age 95, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2011 in San Antonio, TX. She graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Business Administration. She was married to Gene Cartledge and together they ran an active cattle ranch in Big Bend. They then were active in ranching endeavors in Gene's hometown in Alpine, TX for many years.
After Gene's death, Minnie Mae moved to San Antonio to be closer to her family and continue to be involved in ranching endeavors. She remained active in the Texas Cattleman's Association and her church group at Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Minnie Mae loved to travel, dance and enjoy her family and friends. She was a great aunt and showed her nieces and nephews how to live a life by honoring God and working hard. She always brought joy into everyone's lives.
Minnie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Cartledge and her sister, and brother in law Ruth and Ed Holcomb. She is survived by her nephews, Alfred G. Holcomb and John S. Holcomb and wife, Patti; niece, Betsy H. Riggan and husband, Michael; and five great-nieces and nephews.
Private Family service to be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church in San Antonio, TX with graveside services in Encinal, TX on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011.
