Minnie Louise Mayfield was born in San Antonio, TX on January 12, 1930 to William D. & Evelyn J. (Rosin) Forester and entered eternity on January 2, 2011 in San Antonio, TX. She spent over 40 years as a teacher in Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, F. J. Mayfield. Surviving are her sisters, Willie Jane Whitehead, Evelyn Carlene Kelley; step-son, Jeffrey Mayfield; nieces, Joan Marie Whitehead, Susan Kay Holloway; nephews, Raymond Whitehead, Jr, Roger Neal Kelley; great-nieces, Andrea M. Bourne (Dan), Tracy R. Smith (Steve), Amy L. Whitehead, Kayla N. Holloway, Caroline M. Kelley; great-great-nieces, Emma R. Smith, Leah A. Smith; numerous nieces & nephews of F.J. Mayfield. Visitation will be at Sunset Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. with, Reverend Fred E. Martin, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
