Dr. Mohammad M. Ahmad, age 89, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021, in San Antonio. He was born on September 14, 1932, in Alexandria, Egypt, to parents, Mitwalli and Fardo Youseff Ahmad. After receiving his medical degree specializing in obstetrics and gynecology from Alexandria University in Egypt, Mohammad came to the United States to further his studies in public health as a Fellow at Johns Hopkins University and Tulane University. Mohammad served at the University of Arkansas Medical School then came to San Antonio where he spent 38 years at the University of Texas Health Science Center as both a medical doctor and professor. He was also the past president of the San Antonio OBGYN Society. Mohammad is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janet Ahmad; son, Joseph Ahmad; son, Dean Ahmad and wife, Amy; step-daughter, Lisa Subsinsky; grandchildren, Christopher, Ashley, Alyssa, Tanner, Austin, Alex, and Lauren; and sister in Egypt, Mahasen Mitwalli.
