I just found out about Monica.  She was my Service Point of contact at Gunn.  Always helpful, and had a beautiful smile.  My condolences to her husband and family.  She is definitely an angel!!  

Dear Robert, Mr. and Mrs. Salazar and family, I am deeply saddened by the loss of your precious Monica. I only learned of her passing today when I called Gunn Honda to schedule an appointment with her. I was shocked and immediately started crying. I had to tell the guy that answered the phone I’d have to call back. I spent the day crying off and on. She has been my Service Advisor for a few years but I knew her since she was an assistant. She was one of the sweetest and kindest persons I’ve ever known. She took good care of me every time I took my vehicles there. She was excellent at her job and always explained the work needed. She also made sure I had a loaner if they needed to keep my car over night.  I’m a hugger and every time I went in I’d make sure to give her one before I left.  I will miss her hugs. I considered her a friend as she would listen to me if she recognized something was wrong. Some would say it was an unlikely friendship but Monica made it easy to love her.  She had the sweetest smile. I remember when she told me she was getting married; she was so happy. She touched my life in several ways and for that I will always be grateful. I pray the memories you hold near to your hearts will somehow ease the pain of losing her. May she Rest In Peace in the arms of our Heavenly Father.  My prayers are with you all. 🙏😢💔

                  She was much too young, it was much too soon, there was too much left to do, and she most certainly meant much too much to so many people. 
   
            “You get what anyone gets. You get a lifetime.”

     As I reflect upon the lifetime of this beautiful woman, here is what I remember: 
Hats. Lots of styles of hats! Sunglasses, also lots of sunglasses! Perfectly matched and extremely well-styled clothing, all the perfect jewelry to go along with them, purses, and shoes to boot…. Lots of boots too.

                         Nice hair, Red lips, and her very best accessory… a giant smile.
    When I was explaining to the people around me about this loss our family was experiencing, I found myself describing Monica as follows: 
  A pivotal member of our family. Consistent, reliable, kind, and very fun. She was at every single gathering, large or small, as long as she wasn’t on a cruise or in Mexico, you know you can always rely on Monica to be there for you. Happy go lucky, easy going, quick to laugh, easy to make laugh, easy to be around, and someone you always want around. 
A treasure. 
  The type of person whom everyone, from the youngest person at the party to the oldest at the party sees her walk through the door and says: “Oh yay Moni is here!”
  She is that person. To all of us. To us as a family, to us separately. To all of her friends, to her co-workers, and I would venture to guess… to any and every person she has ever met.   
   In this wonderful although sometimes maddening, and heart-wrenching life, let us remember that Monica was able to fill hers with so many good times, exponential laughter, unmeasurable love and a truly wonderful family.   And when we think about this lifetime, and the one lifetime that we all get, I wish for us all to keep that light from Monica in our hearts and live the rest of our lifetimes celebrating her for the treasure that she will always be. 
  

Sending thoughts and prayers to the family of Monica. I dealt with her many times at Gunn Honda, she was my service advisor. I was deeply saddened to hear of her passing. Monica was always very professional, sweet and caring all the time. I know she is a big loss to the Gunn Corporation and to the many customers she helped everyday while doing a great job! 

Saddened by the news of your passing, regretful of years that passed and unintended consequences but grateful for the memories I will carry reminding me of youth, friendship, resiliency and love.   A beautiful, courageous, full of life and loyal soul is how I will remember you always and the fact that you first helped me with my eyebrows 🥰. United by many mutual friends, I was able to meet, work, and spend many fun times in my 20's with Monica. Her smile and laugh were infectious. I will always remember our Tues night crew heading to the Library to go see Soul Devine. I still can remember her cute little dance. She was definitely a light that shined bright for being so little. I remember being there the night you two met. Bobby could not take his eyes off you for a long time before he approached you.  That meeting was the beginning of a fun, love filled story. Thank you for bringing my friend so much love and happiness.  We will keep praying for all of your family.  Rest in peace. 

I remember when my dear friend Bobby met you ! He was all giggly over the moon talking about this girl named Monica. He was excited for all of us to meet you and it was very clear WHY when we finally did ! You had such a fun energy , ready to party , dance , tried anything n was full of life ! We were playing volleyball n were short a girl and you jumped right in n helped! It was hilarious because here there was this tiny little thing who couldn’t hit the ball but ran around chasing n trying to hit it 🤣 man we laughed n dank the night away n finished it off with shots shots , oh n more shots ! From there you had already become part of our family ! And man oh man when Bobby said I think I’m going to propose , we were like OMG do it !! 
I was so glad I was included to be a part of your beautiful day  as you both exchanged vows vowing to be together forever ! You will greatly be missed Monica ! We’ll make sure your Bobby takes good care of your fur babies n I’m sure you will forever be watching over him as his angel ! May you rest easy.

I first met Monica around 1997 at work. Her itty bitty physical size was nothing compared to the huge heart she had. She made everyone feel welcomed and accepted when in her presence. She was just a really good person who would do anything for anyone without hesitation. We had a lot of fun at work and out with the girls. Mon loved to dance and just have fun no matter where she was. The world lost a real one. Her kindness will be forever imprinted on my heart. Love you Mon! 

Monica, I will always cherish my memories with you. Every summer I came down from Albuquerque when I was little, you made every trip so much more memorable. You always made me laugh, your smile was contagious, and always so caring and genuine. There’s not enough words to say how much I love you. You will always have a special place in my heart. So many laughs, memories and good times! From swapping crazy outfits, sneaking off to my car during our shift for smoke breaks, working doubles and rushing to make $2 drinks, eating mounds of crab legs and washing it down with a bucket of tecate, giggling and laughing so hard are bellies hurt, birthdays always involved a limo, never waiting in a club line, getting backstage at concerts and going to the after parties,  hula hoops, hula shirts,  chicken wings and beer! Our 20’s were some of the funnest times and memories in my life! Paul and I wish we would have made it out to SA more times to see you than we did! I’m happy we had the time we had on one of your most recent trips in NM. Such a treat to meet Bobby and be a part of your happiness together and his experience in NM.  You will be missed and never forgotten.  I am blessed to have had you as a friend, always laughing, joking, happy and having fun! Love you Monchichi

Hey there Delilah, I want to Thank You for the memories and tell you girl you look so pretty in your white dress with your roses. Your smile so contagious, you came bearing gifts and were so generous. There was fresh fruit that you would shove in my mouth when I wasn't paying attention to your favorite Chuychanga that you would always spare half and offer for lunch. Your place in my heart will be yours forever.  We made great memories at the beach, on the boat, in the river and just doing our daily thing at work together.  Your smile in the picture with your hands on Bobby's face shows the world how happy you really were. We'll still see you every day, always smiling, always doing what you do best, just  being yourself. We'll miss you dearly and cherish all the days behind us. 'Till we meet again, I'll be thinking about you.

My Mon.. the best word that describes you is Loyal. You were always loyal with every relationship you had/have. From high school (Highland Hunnies) to trying to 'adult.' there are so many memories we shared, not only as friends, but as a family. You were my first roommate and then from there we were neighbors (Melrose Place) you loved to dance no matter where we were- the club, apartment, it didn’t matter...just dance! Now you dance in the heavens as you watch over your loved ones. We love you Mon! You will be missed, but I promise you, we will see you again❤️ Prayers for the entire family.

Sweet Monica always smiling and laughing. I have many memories with her but one that always makes me laugh is when we went to Vegas together and she showed up at the airport with a suitcase as big as her 😃 but we all know she had to have all her jewelry and shoes with her.
