Mr. Raul G. Galindo

Raul Galindo went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 13, 2020 at the age of 81. Raul was born on February 27, 1939 in San Antonio, Texas. Raul is preceded in death by his parents Raul Flores Galindo Sr. and Juanita Gutierrez Galindo, brothers Jesse and Emilio; sisters Margaret Valdez and Gloria Alfaro. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou; children Maria Elena Otero (Joseph), Michelle Rocha (Mike), Marie Antoinette; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

In 1962, he married the love of his life, Mary Lou Hernandez and together they dedicated their lives to the catholic faith and savior, Jesus Christ. They lived together almost inseparable for over 57 years.

He was a good father who always took care of his daughters and did his best to teach and guide them, a loving grandfather and great grandfather. One of his greatest joys was spending time with family and telling stories from his past.

He was an entrepreneur and followed in his father's footsteps by running his own family boot, shoe, and leather repair store for over 50 years.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Porter Loring Funeral Home, 1101 McCullough Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78212 with a Rosary to be recited for immediate family at 7 pm. A mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020 1321 El Paso Street, San Antonio, Texas 78207. Procession will follow to San Fernando Cemetery III for burial. All are asked to stay at their vehicles until interment.
