When I was a little girl in Sunday School at Our Lady of Lourdes Church I was always so excited when you came to our classroom. You were such a sweet man I just loved you. I have always had a special place in my heart for you and I always will. I look forward to seeing you again someday.

I think God sent Father Gino to Victori when He did because He know I was going to need him. My son, Robin, was the first baby Father Gino baptized at Lady of Lourdes. But he will always have my prayers and love because when my 36 year old husband got sick and was rushed to the hospital Father was with me. 
The doctor came out and told me Henry did have some brain damage but they were "working" on him. 
I asked Father what I should prayer--for 
him to die or live. The words Father Gino gave I still trying to use for they were so wise. He simply told me to pray 
God"s will be done.

Not only was Msgr. Gino a great and caring priest ,he was a friend of many families including ours. We looked forward to his visits,especially at Christmas. He and our daughter Brenda shared a special friendship and when she married in 1992, he drove to Austin to perform the ceremony . Our sympathy to his brother Louis and nieces . He will always be remembered in our prayers.

I will remember Father Gino as a kind and caring priest. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen

My sympathy in your loss. I was a classmate of Fr. Gino at St. John's Seminary back in 1939-1942 Our first 3 years in the seminary. I left the seminary but never forgot Gino. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to attend his funeral service. He is in my prayers.

As members of Our Lady of Lourdes parish, Fr. Gino was a large part of our family. He will be greatly missed.

Rev. Msgr. Gino has been a part of our family from our baptisms to our marriages. My wedding in 1996 may have been one of the last services he officiated. He will be remembered in a special place in our hearts.

Fr. Gino was a significant part of our family. Baptisms, First Communions... He was always there as a friend and spiritual leader.

Our condolences to the family of Father Gino. I will always remember Father Gino as the priest at Our Lady of Lourdes, the church I grew up in. I moved to Dallas in 1987 but returned to Victoria in 1992 to be married at Lourdes and have Father Gino perform the ceremony. He also baptized my daughter at Lourdes in 1998. Unfortunately he was not available to baptize my sons but having those both done at Lourdes meant he was there in spirit if not in person. Father Gino was a very special person in our family who visited our home on many occasions for holiday dinners and family birthdays and events. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tell jokes. I am thankful that Father Gino was a part of my life and so many of my family's special moments. He will be missed by many here but is now at peace and with the One he devoted his life to serving so well.

Father Gino was a very caring man. I have known him my whole life 28 yearsand he made going to church fun. Many thanks go out to him for everything he did for us @ Our Lady of Lourdes. We will miss him greatly.

Father Gino was one of the holiest men I have ever known. He was one who knew how to read your very heart and soul and I am most grateful to God for the time He shared Fr. Gino with us.

He trained BJ as Lector and Euchristic Minister.He was there for us and very close. Mike served as alter server, he bugged Fr. Gino until her let him become an alter server. He also baptisted our Grandaugher Sydney Dodson. We have videos of him performing our childrens weddings and etc. He will be dearly missed and we pray for the repose of his soul. May he rest in peace for God shall reward him for all his good works.

I've missed him since he's been gone from Victoria, and I've never found another priest here in Victoria that I liked as much as I liked and respected him. Father Gino, as I have always called him, was at our church in Bloomington, Texas when I was very young. It was a blessing to have him at our church.

A memorail tribute to Father Gino: In Lombardy Northern Italy your family is married into mine. And I always felt a special kndred with you as we went along the road to the next life. You played a very important role in my spiritual development with special and understanding treatment when it was needed. Only God knows the good that you have started for His Family here at Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Marys here in Victoria and St. Patricks in Bloomington. It is not goodbye but rather a very warm send off for you as you arrive at your eternal home in Heaven to join the many saints of today and awaiting the untold multitudes yet to arrive in the future. These sentimentas are sent to your brother and his family who I met at your anniversary party at Our Lady of Lourdes in Victoria and the extended earthly family. These sentiments are shared by those of your Italian heritage and also on behalf of the two other rites of Italy -- the Ambrosian, your rite of your family in Italy -- and the Italo-Albanian Rite as well as the Maronite community of San Antonio.

Henrietta, Was so sorry to about the death of your dear "Uncle Gino." I remember you talking about him so many times when we worked there at University Hospital. I am Cruz Guerra Cuellar and am 68 years old, The Rev.Msgr. Gino Bernasconi came to Kenedy, Texas when I as just a child, he said his first Mass in Kenedy all my family loved him a lot as he was so caring and just a fine Priest, he performed a lot of Marriages and baptised all our babies, 
we are deeply sadden of his passing. 
He left a lot of beautiful memories 
and we will treasure them forever.

Msgr. Gino was a long time friend of the family, my grandmother worked for him for many years when he lived in the Victoria area. Every chance he got he would come to visit an old dear friend until her death a few years back. He will truly be missed.

Father Gino was a positive influence and loving presence in my life for many years. While his passing is a relief from the suffering of human existence, the light he brought to the world will be missed. May the Lord accept Father Gino into the fold of eternal peace.

Father Gino baptized me and married my parents, Raul R. Aguillon and Maria Yolanda Aguillon. He was very dear to our family. My Grandmother Irene C. Aguillon was his housekeeper at Our Lady of Lourdes in Victoria, Texas. My Grandmother passed away in July 2004. Father Gino will always be in our hearts.
