

Msgr. Krieger was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 5, 1921, the son of William A. Krieger and Zenobia O. Herr. He attended St. Louis Univ. High School, St. Louis Preparatory Seminary and Kenrick Theological Seminary.
Ordained a Catholic Priest on December 21, 1946, thereafter, he served in two Parishes, taught in three high schools in the Archdiocese of St. Louis and served as a Chaplain on the Apostleship of the Sea on the Mississippi River from 1946-1954.
He served as Chaplain in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1982, serving in 14 locations, including four assignments overseas.
His degrees are Kenrick Seminar, AB 1946, Master of Science, Indiana Univ. 1961, and Master of Divinity, Kenrick Seminary 1974. He received academic honors from Phi Delta Kappa in 1961.
He retired from the Air Force in 1982 in San Antonio, TX and assisted in several Catholic parishes and local military bases and produced a live Catholic Mass On Television for Shut-Ins.
He is survived by his brothers, Robert Krieger of Louisville, KY, and William Krieger of San Antonio, TX; and nephews, Michael, James, Robert and Richard Krieger.
