

He is survived by his brother, Andrew (Andy) Heugel; children, Jonathan Heugel, Catherine Joseph, Barbara Calderon, Alice Dix, Pamela Sanders; grandchildren, Hope Guillory, Destiny Joseph, Jayson Calderon, Edmund Sanders, Ian Sanders, Melody Joseph, Ryan Calderon, and Maya Calderon; great grandson, Matthew Guillory.
He enjoyed bowling when he was younger, he also liked chess, and loved playing with his children and grandchildren. Edward attended Stoneybrook in the late 70’s, from which he received his Bachelors. He then served in the United States Air Force for 24 years. After his retirement, he went back to college for a second Bachelor's degree. This led to his second career in military finance. Edward loved being a veteran and talking to fellow veterans. He was also a Baptist, who attended church every Sunday. He loved people and sharing conversation. He was outgoing, friendly, and above all else, kind.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 am – 11:30 am, Thursday, August 1st, at Porter Loring Mortuary West.
