Muriel E. Kaisch

Muriel E Kaisch died on Friday, 9 January 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born Muriel E Poggi in New York City, to John and Elizabeth Poggi , 15 July 1926. She married Jack H. Bridges, USN, in 1945. Muriel traveled the world, living in Italy, Japan and Morocco. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a BS degree and Portland State University with a MSW. She was named and awarded the “Yellow Rose of Texas” by the State for her work with Veterans. In 1982, husband, LtCdr (Ret) Bridges died. After 10 years she met Col (Ret) Kenneth Kaisch, MD, they were married in 1991 and have been together ever since. Muriel is survived by her husband, her son Col (Ret) Gary J. Bridges, daughter, Dr Christine E. Bridges-Esser, four grandchildren; two stepchildren and seven great grandchildren. Visitation, Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 6:00 P.M. followed by the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway. Funeral Mass, Friday January 16, 2015, 11:00 A.M.
