

Nancy Mae Cain Ball went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2024. She was born on December 9, 1937, in Ironwood, Michigan, to Herbert and Dora (Jensen) Cain. She moved with her family to Iron Mountain where she attended 4th through 12th grade. During her working years, she worked for the FBI in Washington, D.C., Marquette-Alger ISD in Marquette, Michigan, and Trinity Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas. Her husband, Strayer Ball; her parents, Herbert & Dora Cain; and her sisters, Beverly Bates and Gladys Halpin predeceased her. She is survived by her one sister, Marilyn Dahlquist of Marquette, MI as well as 8 nieces and 1 nephew.
Nancy was active in her church wherever she lived and served in many capacities over the years. While working at Trinity Baptist, Nancy participated in many mission projects ranging from Wales, Canada, New Hampshire and several other places in the United States. In addition, she served on missions in Bristol, England, and Chiang Mai, Thailand, for 3 months each time. Her love for doing the Lord’s work knew no bounds. At the time of her death, she attended and served at First Baptist Church of San Antonio. She was also active in the Emmaus Community in San Antonio for many years.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, November 15th at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of San Antonio, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Earth Mission, PO Box 6411, Siloam Springs, AR 72761, or First Baptist Church of San Antonio Foundation. She worked with Earth Mission and supported them over the years and believed they are doing wonderful things for the Karen people in Myanmar.
