Nancy Judith Brummett passed away on December 19, 2008 at Brooke Amy Medical Center after a valiant battle with health issues across the past several months. Judi, as she was known to her family and friends, was born and raised in Benton, Arkansas, where she met and married her husband, Colonel Retired, Army Hank Brummett on November 26, 1961. A devoted wife and mother, Judi was involved in a number of charitable and civic activities over the years, including the Officers Wives Club, the Social Committee of the Plaza Club, the Military-Civilian Club, and the Assistance League. Judi was a Christian of the Baptist tradition. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Ray Burton; her parents, Clay and Ethel Burton; and her daughter, Kristan Burton Brummett. Judi is survived by her husband, Hank; her son, Lieutenant Colonel USAF, Michael Brummett; daughter-in-law, Jane Brummett; granddaughter, Nanne Brummett; and a host of extended family and friends. She will lie in state on Monday, December 22nd from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
