A lifelong New Jersey resident who spent her recent years in San Antonio, Texas, Nancy lived a life filled with love, curiosity, friendship, and a genuine appreciation for the world around her.
A proud graduate of Rutgers University, where she earned both her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Master of Business Administration degree, Nancy had a lifelong passion for learning.
Naturally curious and always eager to discover something new, she embraced life with an open mind, an independent spirit, and a love of conversation.
Nancy found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved the beach and warm weather, had a special place in her heart for animals, and treasured time spent with family and friends. Whether enjoying a day by the water, sharing stories with neighbors, playing cards, crafting, or simply spending time with those she loved, Nancy had a wonderful way of making connections and building lasting friendships. She was a friend to many, and her warmth, curiosity, and love of life will be remembered by all who knew her.
Above all, Nancy cherished her family. She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 59 years, Robert Dunn; her daughter, Holly Dunn McManus, and her husband, Brian McManus; her son, Michael Dunn, and his wife, Alyssa Dunn; and her five beloved grandchildren, Cole, Paige, and Chase McManus, and Eric and Sydney Dunn. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Eileen Dunn.
Nancy leaves behind a lifetime of memories, friendships, and love. Her spirit will live on in the family she adored, the friends whose lives she touched, and the many moments of joy she shared with others.
Services will be held privately at this time. A celebration of Nancy’s life will be planned for a later date, when family and friends can gather to share memories and honor a life so well lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Nancy’s memory to the Helotes Animal Shelter, where she adopted her beloved Teddy. Teddy brought Nancy tremendous joy and companionship, and supporting the shelter is a meaningful way to honor her lifelong love of animals while helping other animals find loving homes.
