Nancy Ann Staples, age 55, passed away September 4, 2021 in San Antonio, TX. She was born in San Antonio, TX on June 17, 1966 to John & Winnie Staples. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed.
She received a Bachelor’s Degree at UNLV and a Master’s Degree at Auburn University. She was working on her Doctorial at Texas Tech at Lubbock. She taught at OLL, UTSA and NW Vista colleges.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, John Melvin Staples.
She is survived by her mother, Winnie Ruth Staples; sister, Sandra Staples; brother, Paul Staples; niece Parker; 3 nephews, Brain & his wife Allison; J.P. & his wife Erin and Caleb.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Monday, September 20, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service will be 11 am, Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church, 14700 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio, TX 78232. Interment will follow the Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the San Antonio Symphony.
