Nancy Sue Velasquez entered into eternal rest on August 23, 2013 at the age of 63. She was born on June 16, 1950 in Herrin , Illinois to Clifton and Sylvia (Gibson) Crowell. Nancy was a workaholic, but she was truly a kindhearted person, ready to give the shirt off her back to help those in need. An avid gambler, Nancy traveled to Las Vegas every year, loved to play BINGO, and LOVED her coffee. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
Nancy is survived her husband of 13 years, Ernest Charles Velasquez; sons Tracy Shane Spencer and Jason Wade Spencer; stepdaughter Candi Renee Velasquez; sister Sharon Pollack (Joe); grandchildren Cody Ditfurth, Kenneth Wayne Gillette, and Ricky Shane Spencer; and aunt Ruth Robertson.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 30, 2013 from 8-11am with a funeral service to follow at 12pm at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas, 78218. Burial will immediately follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
