As the youngest of five children, Natalie was a hard working student, who never got into trouble. She grew into a beautiful young lady with a fabulous sense of humor, who met and married the love of her life. Together they had a son, which Natalie cared for, with all her love and pride.
She worked at Kelly Air Force base but took a medical retirement after a short career in logistics. Later, with courage and determination, she focused on overcoming her affliction, in battling Lupus, for the remainder of her life. A testament to this was when she gained living independence and moved from a facility to her own apartment in 2012.
Natalie found ways to be productive, by inspiring others to persevere, by volunteering at various charitable resale shops and always supporting the Lupus Foundation. Her love for family, piano, painting, gardening, and art was a large part of her life.
Natalie's journey ended on Friday, January 10, 2014, from complications of the swine flu.
She is survived by her only son Brian Casto, ex-husband Kevin Casto, sisters Christine Kachich Barnes, Mildred Weiss with husband Don, brothers Albert Kachich with wife Denise, Jon Kachich with wife Margaret and mother Dorothy Kachich, along with many nephews and nieces.
