

Mickey was born in Waring, Texas. He was a 1957 graduate of Fox Tech High School. He worked at Sommers Drug Store where he met his wife Beatrice. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Ranger. He earned an Associates of Science degree from St. Phillips College. He spent over 50 years working in the transportation industry. He was an avid hunter - teaching friends and family how to hunt. He loved to golf with his close friends. He taught all three of his grandchildren to golf. He loved to grill and spend time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beatrice; son, Roland Rangel (Vicky Rangel); daughters, Ursula Bergman (Harold Bergman) and Clarissa Johnston (Gaylon Johnston); grandchildren, Edward Bergman, Alyssa Bergman and Araceli Colmenero; one sister, Gracie Rangel; and numerous loving nieces and nephews across San Antonio, Boerne and the Hill Country.
Celebration of Life services will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Porter Loring North.
Inurnment with military honors will take place at a later date in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
