Nevin R. Beaver

Nevin Richard "Dick" Beaver, 87, passed away on Friday, December 17th, 2021, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He was born in Altoona, PA to proud parents Edward and Montrose Beaver on November 21, 1934. Dick was the oldest of his brothers, Bill and Glenn.

Dick met the love of his life, Mary Beth, through a church group. They married in 1988 and were happy together for 27 years until her untimely death in 2015.

Dick was very involved in his church, Trinity Baptist Church, and in multiple humanitarian causes including Special Olympics and homeless outreach programs. He was known as a kind man who would provide support to any who needed it. His interests included technology, sports, golf, and traveling. He was well known for driving across the country as he didnt like to fly. His last trip was a solo drive from Texas to Delaware to visit his son and other relatives at the age of 86 in June 2021.

Dick was preceded in death by his beautiful wife Mary Beth Beaver; his parents Edward and Montrose Beaver; his brothers Bill Beaver and Glenn Beaver, and his step-daughter Julie Beth Cooper. He is survived by his children Lynne Sehr (Steve), Nevin Christopher Beaver (Jennifer), and John David Price (Pamela); his grandchildren Kayla Rhoadarmer, Eric Lewis (Courtney), and Kaleb Beaver; nine great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many long-time friends.

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date at Trinity Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics Texas.
