Nita Swanson

Nita is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Gene A. Swanson; her children, Vicki Onuliak of Portland, Oregon, Sandra Christiansen of Dallas, Texas and Michael Swanson of Lawton, Oklahoma.

Her survivors also include her nine grandchildren: Chris Onuliak, Alex Christiansen, Matt Onuliak, Steven Swanson, Zach Christiansen, Tricia Fite, Nick Christiansen, Michael Swanson, Jr. and Sydnei; as well as her sisters, Phyllis Jean Lenz and Patricia Ann Carlson.

Nita grew up in Beaverton, Oregon and attended Beaverton High School where she met the love of her life, Gene. In the early part of their marriage, she worked at several part time jobs until she began her long and wonderful career as a homemaker and supportive wife and mother.

Her social life revolved around many years of Jazzercise, where she met many close friends.

Nita loved life and her wishes are that her life be celebrated instead of her death mourned.
