Noel was born in Wilson, Oklahoma. He graduated from the University of Texas and was a retired geophysicist. He traveled the world on business and pleasure, and was an avid Spurs fan.
Noel was preceded in death by his father and mother, Carl and Ola Mae.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joan, and his children and grandchildren: Michael Porterfield, Shannon Porterfield, Judy and Cara Porterfield, Kacy, Michael, Katrina and Nicole Bottomlee, Jill, Sam and Jake Weaver, and Jeff, Sharon, Lauren, Sara, and Ben Kjoller. He is also survived by a host of wonderful friends.
We will all miss him greatly!
Honorary pallbearers will be: Michael Porterfield, Jeff Kjoller, Sam Weaver, Richard Goforth, Bud Schroeder and Don Perkins.
