Nolia Garcia

Nolia Garcia, 88, of San Antonio, Texas, returned to the arms of her heavenly family on Feb 2, 2024. Nolia was born to Raphael and Amelia Garcia in 1935, in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1953.

She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Raphael & Amelia Garcia, her sisters Elia Gonzales, Amelia Garcia and her brother, Leonardo Garcia. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews to cherish her memory as well as many lifelong friends including Ramona Gonzales and Virginia Saenz.

Nolia worked as an insurance adjuster for many years until she retired. She loved spending time with her sister Elia and Amelia. She enjoyed traveling all over the country and abroad with all her friends and loved playing card games and mahjong on weekends.

A rosary and internment are scheduled for February 28, 2024, at 10 a.m. At Sunset Memorial Chapel on 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas. A luncheon will follow. Deacon Tim Tate will officiate the ceremony. The family would also like to thank the staff at Brookdale Hamilton Wolfe, especially Claudia and Bobby for all their loving care of Nolia during these last two years. Nolia will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
