

Norma Frances King Gibson age 76, of San Antonio, TX, went to be with our Lord on Friday, April 4, 2003 after a lengthy illness. She was a loving, generous friend to everyone. She will be forever remembered for her smile and concern for others.
She was born to Mansel and Netia King, June 29, 1926 in Cross Plains, TX. On November 10, 1944, she married her high school sweetheart William Charles Gibson of San Antonio, TX, formerly of Pioneer, TX. Being a war-time bride, she remained in San Antonio while her husband finished his duties.
Upon his return from the service, they made their home here and stared a plumbing business. She was a member of Sunset Ridge Church of Christ. Norma was active in Child Nurture Club, PTA, and was a charter member of the Gay Twenties Club. She was a Bluebird Volunteer at Methodist Hospital at one time. She was also an active member of the Ladies Golf Association at Oak Hills Country Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mansel and Netia King and a brother, J. L. King. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, William, Charles Gibson; one son, William Allen Gibson and wife Cynde of San Antonio, TX; two daughters, Deborah Kay Gibson and Marsha Delavan and husband Marshall of San Antonio; three granddaughters, Nicole Kleffner and husband Christopher of San Antonio and Brooke Gibson, of San Antonio, Casey Gibson of Dallas; two grandsons, Will Delavan of College Station and Logan Delavan of San Antonio; one great-grandson, Carson William Kleffner.
She is also survived by a sister, Lynda Gray and husband Ronald of San Antonio and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
