She was born March 8, 1928, in Indianapolis, Indiana to parents; William George Schlagel and Josephine Ruth Kelley. Norma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her father, William George Schlagel; mother, Josephine Ruth Kelley; brother, Robert William Schlagel and husband, George Earl Truitt.
Norma is survived by daughters Darlene Amy Farr and Donna May Ainsworth; son, Thomas William Truitt; 10 grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren and along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary on McCullough.
