Norma Jean Streit

She was born in Plainview, Texas to parents Elonzo and Adelle Stroud.

Jean and Robert were married on March 15, 1947 in Vernon, Texas and spent much of their years together following a passion for big band and country western dancing.

They belonged to the Carousel Dance Club, Starlight Dance Club, Candlelight Dance Club, and Martinez Social Club. Bob and Jean have been members of Christ Lutheran Church since 1977.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

She is survived by husband, Bob Streit; daughters, Linda Salt, husband William; Marsha Collier, Terri Gurley, husband Steve; grandson, Brian Gurley; granddaughters, Devon Higgins, Susan Buchanan, Brynn Ray, and Blair Salt; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Marge Vralsted. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
