Norman G. Cooper

Norman Gene Cooper, age 73, passed into the hands of our Lord on May 7, 2012. He was born on February 24, 1939 to Floyd & Mildred Cooper in Blencoe, IA. Norman was a middle school math teacher for 50 years, the last 12 years teaching at Natalia ISD. He loved his farm in Iowa, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother James Cooper.

Norman is survived by his wife, Patricia; his children, Mark and wife Beth, Tim, Michael and wife Norma; his grandchildren, Nicolas, Michael, and Quinn; his brother Thomas Cooper and wife Pam; his sister Beverly Buckman and husband Thomas; his sister-in-law Sharon Cooper; and their families.

Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Memorial Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 11, 2012 at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church, 111 Barilla Place, San Antonio, TX 78209. There will be a family entombment at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic School.
