I met Mr. Ess in 2008. He was a ray of sunshine in the dark days in BAMC. He had a way of making you smile and lifting you up. I will miss our talks and the rides in the extendo golf cart. I will miss you brother. I am sorry you passed on and I was not there to say goodbye. Rest easy brother, I will see you again.

A bright smille in the morning to start out a long day at the hospital is what I remember. You are in my thought and prayers as you go throught the next few weeks.

Norm, was the best loving caring individual I had ever known. He was a life saver every morning when we were running late to work, he would go out of his way for everyone of us and always made us laugh with a joke or just being his loving self. A wonderful great person. My condolences and deepest sympathy extended to his family. He will be missed dearly From 5 East Post-Partum BAMC.

Norm was truly a blessing and inspiration to all who rode his buggy. Him and I would joke around when I would suggest that he ask for a raise in pay, him being a volunteer. He wolud say that he loved to come home after work and relax in his recliner. Well Norm, you are at rest in God's arms now. We will certainly miss you. We are all that much better for experiencing fellowship with you.

I met Norm while he and I were caremobile drivers at BAMC. My deepest sympathy is extended to the family. Norm was without a doubt one of the "greatest generation" warriors. George R Krueger, Col,MSC, Ret.

And you are off once again as a Command Pilot after your short visit to us mortals here on earth!  You were loved and will be missed by many.  After working with you for several years I will miss your humor and thoughts.  We'll be there soon and we'll know we have a guide waiting for us.

God Bless "Colonel". I was on many occasions served by this gracious man who would go out of his way and route to pick us up and take us where we needed to go. He always had a kind word and a smile for everyone regardless of the weather. He will be missed.

My heart goes out to the family during this difficult time. Please know Mr. Norm will be greatly missed here at BAMC. I rode the cart only on the mornings he was driving, I didn't need to but wanted to, just so I could spend those few minutes talking to him, he had some wonderful storys he would talk about how he had his own plane and still flew it to go see his sons once a year.
